I’ve been fascinated by the implications and possibilities of networked computing since I first came across the internet and the concept of neural networks as a post-grad in 1993. Since then I’ve pursued parallel careers as a writer and a technologist. From early days at Wired magazine I went on to cover the digital revolution for a wide range of publications (and in several books) and to design and project-manage various products at the interface of media and technology, including: a cross-platform interaction social media drama for the BBC; a climate change wiki; a whole range of online tools for the Telegraph Media Group; and an SAAS video marketing platform called Videojuicer. I'm no CEO of Hospify, a company I co-founded with two doctors to provide compliant messaging for use in UK & EU healthcare. I am currently running an AI initiative within Hospify, and advise on AI strategy and implementation in external consulting roles. I also have a new book coming out in October 2018, published by the innovative crowdfunding publisher Unbound.
