Wayfair is a Massachusetts based e-commerce company consisting of multiple retail brands that includes Wayfair, Joss & Main, AllModern, Birch Lane, and Perigold. My work affected every brand's storefront. While at Wayfair I:

• Built out a new feature that allowed customers to select from a list of products to create bundles at a discount
  
• Built a new carousel where we showed different recommendations sourced from machine learning models

• Communicated with all disciplines (design, PM, analytics, QA) to ensure we have the right Acceptance Criteria for all projects prior to writing code. This led us to complete more projects on time with a positive effect on revenue.

• Set coding standards for the team to foster consistent, high quality code and low turnaround times on new features. This led to an increase in team morale due to enabling and using linter rules to automatically catch and fix problems arising from the coding standards.

• Created new microservice systems in Java.
  
• Added features and helped to maintain a microservice written in Golang. This was necessary to move the entire Wayfair search experience to work in the new microservice architecture
• Built customer-facing pages in Typescript and React.
  
• Built new experience for customers to be able to compare and more easily purchase recommendations without needing to move pages. This resulted in a $100 million increase in revenue Year-over-Year.
• Ran A/B tests for new features so that we made data-driven choices to keep successful features and remove features that are not providing value.
• Ran Shadow tests to ensure customer and service stability while moving millions of requests from old to new services.

• Taught and ramped up new team members. I have also mentored coworkers and successfully helped them achieve their work goals. 

• Built one-off sites for local events.
• Built e-commerce websites for local musicians and artists
• Support contracts with local businesses for updating client websites

Akamai POS is a Point-of-Sale company focused on serving the local community of Honolulu, HI.

• Built a faster Frontend for the Point-of-Sale product that allowed clients solved a common frustration clients had where the previous UI had seconds in delay between actions.
• Created a set of common practices for testing and deploying patches to clients. Previously we had none.
